9/27/24                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    This time of year I start thinking about baseball, playoffs (too many) World series, and my dilemma of the day the MVP. The runaways are Ohtani NL and Judge AL. Hear are the most recent stats,                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Ohtani;  ba 305/ hr 53/rbis 121/1.031                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Judge: ba 325  hrs  58/rbi 144/  1.169                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  I know Ohtani is the best thing to come along for baseball since Ruth, but he's a DH this year not pitching or playing the field. Judge is out there every day playing the field. What would his stats be without the wear and tear of playing, not sitting on the bench. Maybe there should be another category for the DH (which is very much like batting practice with real pitching), AS you can see, I'm not a DH fan.  Just my take. from an old baseball fan.
